She was a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science, University of Colorado at Boulder. Her thesis advisors were Prof. Antonio Carzaniga and Prof. Alexander L. Wolf. During her Ph.D. program, she was a research assistant at the Software Engineering Research Laboratory (SERL). She got her M.S. degree in Computer Science at CU-Boulder in May, 2003 during her Ph.D. program.
Her research area is software engineering. She is generally interested in discovery of principles and development of technologies to support the engineering of large, complex software systems. In specific, her main research interest includes evaluation and testing of distributed systems, automation techniques, generative programming, and configuration management.
Before her Ph.D. program at CU-Boulder, she spent her life with her family in Beijing, China and got her B.S. degree from the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Peking University in July, 2001. She deeply loves her homeland, and always misses the people, food, and culture there. Playing the piano, swimming and skating were her main hobbies in her spare time. She also loves Boulder, CO, a beautiful small town in central-west US. She gets so close to the nature: the mountains, the forests, the rivers and the lakes... Now she is a big fan of skiing, fishing and hiking.
