Metis 1.2 is now available! It features a new GUI-based editor for events and workflows. The Metis Tutorial has been updated to show how to use this new editor. Grab the new release and enjoy!
A new version of the tutorial has been deployed. This version of the tutorial makes use of the Metis loop construct in the example review workflow.
The Metis website has been updated to make use of XHTML and CSS. We are busy working on an update to Metis and the Metis tutorial and hope to have both released this week.
Release 1.1.1 of Metis is now available! This new version fixes four bugs found in the 1.1 release. See the CHANGES file for details and be sure to read the INSTALL file if you are installing this release over an existing Metis 1.0 installation.
Release 1.1 of Metis is now available! This new version features several bugs fixes as well as some new features. For those of you installing this version over a 1.0 release, be sure to read the special instructions contained at the end of the INSTALL file (which comes with the release).
Release 1.0 of Metis is now available! This new version features several bugs fixes and a completely re-designed execution engine. The new execution engine correctly handles loops and all of the different types of fork nodes. It still handles sequences and events just fine! We will be providing more tool documentation soon, plus we will update the tutorial to show off the capabilities of the new execution engine.
The documentation for the workflow editor and the Metis registry have been added to the Tools documentation section of this website. The documentation for the workflow monitor and the action editor are coming soon!
Release 1.0 of Metis is coming soon! The re-design of the execution engine is nearly done...we are hoping to release it this week. The new execution engine fixes the problems the current engine has with fork branches and adds full support for loops.

A new preview release of Metis is now available. This release adds a new feature to the action editor that makes it easier to rearrange the actions associated with an Event node. In particular, actions can now be moved "up" and "down".
A new new preview release of Metis is now available. This release adds a new feature to the workflow editor that makes it easier to rearrange the nodes in a workflow. In particular, nodes can now be moved "up" and "down". We still need to add copy and paste functionality and we need to consider adding "move left" and "move right" functionality. If we add these features, then the workflow editor will have the functionality of an outliner!
A new preview release of Metis is now available. This release cleans up the code in sendFormattedEmail.java and setTimer.java based on the change in the XML generation/processing code of yesterday's release. It also fixes one of the jsp pages of the action editor.
